Glossary Entry per letter - T

National Official Register of Territorial Division of the Country. The system contains identifiers and names of units in the basic three-level territorial division of the country and is built on hierarchical numeration:

• voivodships,
• poviats,
• gminas (communes).

The system distinguishes with separate identifiers:

• cities with poviat status,
• urban, rural and urban-rural gminas,
• towns and rural areas in urban-rural gminas,
• quarters and representations in urban gminas.
